The sheriff in Manitowoc County says a deputy is recovering after a drunk man in a Corvette smashed into his squad car early yesterday morning.
It happened along I-43 near Highway 310 about 2:30 yesterday morning. The sheriff says the deputy was parked in the median, but the Corvette left the interstate and smashed into the back of his SUV. The deputy was taken to a Green Bay Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Rescue crews had to cut the Corvette driver out of his car. He was flown to a Green Bay hospital with severe life threatening injuries.
