The refugees who settle in Wisconsin will get a lot of federal money to help them get on their feet.
The New Beginnings for Refugees group in Wausau held a public meeting last night to get more information to the community about the 75 Afghans who are set to move to town over the next year, The group’s Gwendolyn Paul says there will be a lot of federal money directed toward Wausau to help the refugees start a new life, though no dollar amount was given. Wisconsin is slated to see as many as 400 Afghans move into the state.
