We’re headed for a showdown in Wisconsin’s election investigation. Former justice Mike Gableman on Friday issued subpoenas to Dane, Milwaukee, Kenosha, Racine, and Brown counties along with the state’s Elections Commission.
He is looking for communications between election managers and outside groups, most notably the Mark Zuckerburg-funded Center For Tech and Civic Life. The subpoenas are the first in the investigation. Some of the clerks have refused to cooperate with Galbeman’s probe, and it remains to be seen how cooperative they will be going forward. Galbeman has said he’s not looking to overturn the 2020 election, rather he wants to see if anything went wrong with the process.
