From Snail to Sloth?

“Snail mail” is getting slower.

On Friday, the U.S. Postal Service started what it calls “new service standards for First Class Mail and Periodicals.”  The slowdown will affect mail traveling long distances, such as between the East Coast and the West Coast.  Single-piece first class mail within the same region will still have a delivery time of two days.
