Milwaukee Alderwoman Chantia Lewis said nothing as she walked out of court yesterday.
Lewis was in court for her first appearance on embezzlement charges. Prosecutors say she bilked the city out of 20- thousand-dollars by charging the city for trips she paid for with campaign money. Lewis has been ordered to stay away from a long list of people involved in the case. The charges come as Lewis is in the early stages of running for U.S. Senate as a Democrat in the state. She says the whole case is a big misunderstanding.
