A Kenosha County boy injured on a school playground remains in critical condition following brain surgery.
Authorities say Alex Hook was playing with classmates at Riverview Elementary School on Friday. It appears that a landscaper mowing the grass near the school hit a piece of metal or rebar, which then hit Alex in the back of the head. He suffered a skull fracture and a brain bleed and was airlifted to Children’s Wisconsin Hospital in Milwaukee.
