Eau Claire North won’t be taking the field this Friday against Superior.
The school’s athletic director yesterday canceled Friday’s game because of a coronavirus outbreak. AD Mike Pernsteiner is not saying how many students have tested positive for the virus or just how many players are unable to play. North won its first game in two years last week.
Next week’s game could be in jeopardy as well. Rules require players who test positive for the virus to sit-out for two weeks.
