The defense team for convicted killer Steven Avery continues to appeal for an evidentiary hearing and a new trial.
Avery is serving a life sentence for first degree murder in the 2005 killing of photographer Teresa Halbach. The defense has raised multiple issues and have been overruled multiple times including a denial by the appeals court last month. Avery wants the Wisconsin Supreme Court to review several issues including ineffective assistance of counsel.
