The Wisconsin Department of Veterans Affairs is being awarded four-point-two-million dollars from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.
The money will go towards capital improvements to the Housing and Recovery Program, according to the WDVA. This program provides temporary housing, workforce training, and other support services for homeless or otherwise at-risk veterans. The money will be spread across three state Veterans Housing Centers currently providing services for nearly 80 Wisconsin vets.
