Four years after animal rights activists freed three puppies by stealing them from a central Wisconsin breeder, there are charges in the case.
Prosecutors in Madison yesterday filed felony theft and burglary charges against the three who broke into the facility in the town of Blue Mounds back in 2017. The three are all members of the animal rights group Direct Action Everywhere. They posted about ‘rescuing’ the puppies online. They stole the dogs to try and stop the breeders from selling the dogs for medical research. The D.A.’s office in Madison isn’t saying why it took so long to file the charges.
