Some Republican lawmakers want to know why Governor Evers has only spent a fraction of the state’s three-billion-dollars in stimulus money.
STIMA new report from the Department of Education shows Wisconsin has spent just 17-percent of its education stimulus dollars. Suburban Milwaukee Republican Dale Kooyenga says that means 83-percent of the money is still sitting in the bank. Republican Senator Duey Stroebel says it’s par-for-the-course for the governor, who Stroebel says has been ‘disorganized and inefficient’ in spending all of Wisconsin’s stimulus haul.
