Wisconsin’s governor and the top Republican in the state Assembly are both talking about helping people get back to work, but their approaches couldn’t be more different.
Governor Evers and Speaker Robin Vos both talked about helping businesses in the state in their weekend radio addresses. Vos says Wisconsin needs to end its enhanced federal unemployment benefits and get people back to work immediately. The governor says lawmakers should instead spend 550-million-dollars more on schools to help with the state’s long-term worker shortage.
