The number of new coronavirus cases in Wisconsin is at its highest level since April.
The state’s Department of Health Services yesterday reported 983 new cases, the highest number in four months. DHS says new case numbers are growing while vaccinations are flat-lining. Just 51-percent of people in the state have gotten at least one dose of the vaccine.
So, what’s next? Wisconsin’s Department of Health Services usually abides by the CDC’s recommendations on the coronavirus and masks, so it’s likely just a matter of time before the state goes back to suggesting masks for everyone.
The CDC yesterday said everyone, including people who are vaccinated, should wear masks again while in public. DHS has not yet officially followed suit, but the state has been in almost total lockstep with the CDC since the beginning of the coronavirus outbreak. DHS yesterday once again asked people to get vaccinated. CLICK HERE FOR MORE FROM WI DHS.
