Governor Walker and the Forest County Potawatomi are submitting a new amendment to the gaming compact between the tribe and the state. The amendment would withhold up to 250-million-dollars from the state if the tribe suffers losses from a competitor’s casino being built.
If the agreement is approved by the U.S. Bureau of Indian Affairs, it would end continuing negotiations that started more than a decade ago.
