Wisconsin is looking at hundreds of millions of dollars from the national opioid settlement.
Attorney General Josh Kaul yesterday said Wisconsin’s share will be about 400-million-dollars. In all, the states will split 26-billion from the makers of opioid pain pills. Kaul says the state has about a month to finalize the deal. He says Wisconsin will get the maximum if local governments join the settlement as well. But that would mean they would have to drop their lawsuits against the same opioid pill makers.
