The University of Wisconsin is not raising tuition for next year.
Lawmakers voted to end the university’s eight-year-old tuition freeze last month, but the school says it is not hiking the cost of learning for next year. Governor Evers ordered some more money for the university, which school leaders say helps. UW Regents are set to meet today to approve the system’s new budget. Total costs for UW schools will go-up a bit because of an increase in student fees.
