The first legal bets on the Packers in Wisconsin will most likely come in time for the start of the football season.
Governor Tony Evers and the Oneida Nation yesterday signed an agreement that allows the tribe to open a sports book at its casino in Green Bay. Fans will be able to bet on the NFL, the NBA, Major League Baseball, and even The Oscars. No one will be allowed to be on college sports or elections in the state.
The agreement now goes to the Bureau of Indian Affairs for a 45-day review. The Oneida Nation says it hopes to be accepting bets by the ‘early fall.’
