The Dane County Humane Society is welcoming a hundred dogs and cats rescued from El Paso, Texas.
More than 350 animals were rescued with about a third of those being transported to Wisconsin today. Workers from other area shelters will be lending a hand examining the pets and making sure they are healthy and ready for adoption. The transporting of over 300 animals is considered one of the largest efforts in pet rescue history.
