The city of Milwaukee is going to talk about the city’s rise in violent crime and the unruly crowds along Water Street this week.
Milwaukee’s Department of Employee Relations yesterday said it is inviting business owners and folks who live downtown to come to a community meeting Thursday evening. The city says there’s been an ‘unprecedented’ spike in both violent crime in the city, and a rise in chaos along Water Street this month. Milwaukee Police say last weekend was not as bad as the past few weekends along Water Street, but business owners say order needs to be restored.
