It is the latest sign of just how few people are getting the coronavirus vaccine in Wisconsin.
The state’s Department of Health Services yesterday said as many as 40-thousand vaccine doses in the state will expire by the end of the month. Many of them are Johnson & Johnson doses. In Milwaukee, the city’s health department says 24-hundred doses are about to go bad. Doctors say interest in the Johnson & Johnson vaccine dried-up when the federal government put a pause on the shots after a few extremely rare blood clot cases.
Nationally, millions of Johnson & Johnson doses are due to expire sometime this month.
