Former House Speaker Paul Ryan criticized former President Trump as much as Democrats in his speech on the future of the Republican Party.
Ryan yesterday said Republicans must reject the populist appeal and ‘second-rate imitations’ that the former President brought to the party. Ryan said Republicans need to find leaders who are more like former President Ronald Reagan. Ryan left Congress after Republicans lost control in the middle of President Trump’s term. Ryan did criticize the current Democratic push toward wokeness. He said America is getting weary of the identity politics and progressive lurch from the left.
