Forecasters are baffled by a 12-pound chunk of ice that a homeowner says crashed through their roof yesterday morning.
The ice punched a hole through the roof of a house in Elk Mound. It is square in shape and huge. Forecasters are not sure where it came from. It’s too large to be hail, and there weren’t any storms in the area at the time. No one was hurt, and the homeowners are repairing the damage.
