Catholic Church leaders in La Crosse have reportedly asked a priest who ignored their coronavirus rules to step down.
Reverend James Altman says he was asked to resign by the diocese’s bishop. Altman came under fire last year when he ignored coronavirus safety rules, and criticized Democrats for their stance on the virus and restrictions on people who gathered together.
