Wisconsin’s governor wants to spend some of the state’s billions in federal stimulus money on faster internet.
Governor Evers yesterday announced a plan to spend 100-million of the state’s two-point-five-billion-dollars in American Rescue Plan money on broadband internet. Republican lawmakers say they support internet spending but want to make sure that the money is spent wisely. The governor says ‘unserved’ and ‘underserved’ communities can start applying for the money in June.
