The landscape of downtown Wausau is about to change dramatically.
Demolition of the Wausau Center Mall is scheduled to start on Monday with the destruction of the old Sears building near Washington and 5th streets. Most of the work on the eight-block area will be done after 7:30 p.m. and will continue throughout the summer. The redevelopment will include residential, retail and office space as well as restaurants, entertainment and green space.
