Wisconsin’s coronavirus vaccine count has largely stayed the same for weeks.
The state’s Department of Health Services yesterday said 44-and-a-half percent of people in the state have gotten one dose of the vaccine. That number has been in the 40-percent-range for weeks. DHS says over 37 percent of people have gotten both doses. That number has risen. DHS says, overall, far fewer people are coming-in to get the vaccine. Total doses so far this week come to just over 15 thousand. CLICK HERE FOR MORE FROM WI DHS.
Here locally, efforts hit water street. Get a shot, get a shirt. That’s the deal from Eau Claire’s bar, The Pickle this Friday.
The bar is working with Eau Claire’s health department on a pop-up vaccine clinic. Doctors and nurses will be at the bar between 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday to hand out vaccines. The Pickle says the first dozen or so people to get a shot will get an exclusive Pickle t-shirt.
