The recent cold snap has folks in Door County worried.
Soren’s Valhalla Orchards owner Terry Sorenson says about 30 percent of his cherry crop has already been damaged. He says it has to be at least 50 degrees for the cherry blossoms to bloom. That’s been a struggle this cool spring. Sorenson says the weather is adding a bit of instability to the state’s cherry crop. That could mean higher prices, or fewer cherries for tourists to pick when the weather turns nicer.
