Wisconsin’s effort to reach out to minority communities across the state is not changing the vaccine gap.
The state Department of Health Services’ latest numbers show over 40 percent of the people vaccinated so far are white, just 20 percent are black. Most of the people who are vaccinated are also older. DHS has been working for months to get more people of color, and more younger people to get the shot. DHS says 43 percent of the state has gotten one dose of the vaccine. Another 34 percent have gotten both doses. CLICK HERE FOR MORE FROM WI DHS.
