A nurse iS spleading guilty to stealing fentanyl from the VA hospital in Madison. The U.S. Attorney’s Office says 48-year-old Todd Mehrhoff faces up to four years behind bars. He is accused of obtaining the fentanyl for his own personal use by use of misrepresentation and fraud. An investigation revealed that Mehrhoff was linked to over 100 suspected drug diversions of fentanyl from August of 2017 to December of 2017.
Operating room employees reportedly told police that Mehrhoff had removed fentanyl from a dispensing cabinet and didn’t report administering it or destroying the drug.
