The new deal with Foxconn promises just 14-hundred jobs and 80-million-dollars in state subsidies.
Governor Evers yesterday announced the new agreement, and said it will save taxpayers over two-point-seven-billion-dollars. But outside of roads and sewers, Foxconn never received any of the three-billion-dollars in incentives it was promised under the old deal with former Governor Walker. Governor Evers says the new deal reflects the much smaller operation at Foxconn’s Mount Pleasant plant. Foxconn says the agreement gives them the flexibility to use the plant for both manufacturing and technological product design.
