An Illinios man picked up an OWI in Eau Claire County over the weekend .
It was on Sunday, April 18th, at approximately 6:15PM, when a Wisconsin State Patrol Trooper conducted a traffic stop on I-94 eastbound at MM 55 after several driving complaints were called in to the Eau Claire Post Communications Center. Upon approach the Trooper detected signs of impairment and an odor of intoxicants emanating from inside the vehicle.
The driver, 44 year old Bryan Alan Sager from Round Lake Heights IL, was tested and subsequently arrested for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of an intoxicant. Sager was transported to Mayo Clinic Health Systems in Menomonie for a blood draw and then to the Dunn County Jail. A minor passenger, age 10, was also in the vehicle. With direction from Dunn County Social Services, the 10-year-old passenger was turned over to a family friend.
