Wisconsin’s governor says the weekend shooting at a Kenosha County bar is another ‘tragic incident of gun violence.’
Governor Tony Evers yesterday took to Twitter to offer his thoughts and prayers for the three people killed and three others wounded in the shooting early yesterday morning at the Somers House Tavern in Somers. The governor said the shooting is a ‘senseless tragedy.’ He also thanked the police officers and first responders who rushed to the shooting scene.
A suspect is in custody. The Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department said the suspect will face at least one charge of first degree murder. The shooting happened early Sunday morning at a tavern after the suspect was told to leave the establishment. He came back with a gun and shot six people. Three of those victims died.
