The top Republican in the Wisconsin Assembly expects lawmakers to vote on a plan to declare women’s sports in Wisconsin are for women only.
Assembly Speaker Robin Vos said on UPFRONT on Milwaukee TV yesterday there’s a lot of support for the plan to stop transgender athletes from competing against biological girls or women. He expects the Assembly to vote on the plan this spring. If it passes, the plan faces a certain veto from Governor Evers who said over the weekend that trans kids in the state are ‘welcome, wanted, and belong.’
