After just one year on the city council, Mai Xiong is stepping down to serve on the state’s inclusion council.
Xiong yesterday said in a letter that she is leaving the city council immediately to ‘serve our community in the most impactful way.’ Xiong has been named Vice-Chair of Governor Evers’ Equity and Inclusion Council.
