The city council is considering a set of rules for the scooters, as a number of companies want to bring them to town. Deputy city engineer Leah Ness says the first rule would be a limit of just 300 scooters. She says Eau Claire doesn’t want a flood of scooters dumped on the town. There’s no deadline for when the city council could vote on new scooter rules.
