There is a severe blood shortage that will only get worse with the onset of winter if donations aren’t boosted.
The American Red Cross issued an immediate call for blood donors today after collecting far fewer blood and platelet donations in September and October than the demand. The Red Cross says it needs about 75 more blood drives in the area to stop the continuing shortage. Type O blood is especially needed.
