MAN RULED NOT COMPETENT TO STAND TRIAL

A Holcombe man accused of murder is being considered not competent to stand trial.  Thirty-one-year-old Preston Kraft is accused of shooting and killing Robert Petit in Willard back in May, but all future proceedings in the case are now cancelled after yesterday’s ruling.

Kraft was placed on involuntary medication and put into the custody of the Department of Health and Human Services.  He is currently being transferred to a mental institution.
