A rate hike could raise a stink as city utility bills in Eau Claire may be rising next year. The city council met last night to flush out the details and will vote today to decide on whether or not to add a ten percent sewage increase beginning on January 1st.
The city is also considering making a splash in other fees as well, including water and storm water. The city manager says the uptick in fees is part of a plan to upgrade the city’s southwest side that processes sewage.
