The latest unemployment data released by the Department of Workforce Development shows Wisconsin’s jobless rate is down to three-point-eight-percent in January.
That’s slightly lower than the four-percent registered in December and almost as low as pre-pandemic numbers. Wisconsin’s labor force participation rate of just over 65-percent was more than four-percent higher than the national rate. Wisconsin added seven-thousand private-sector jobs and over eleven-thousand non-farm jobs in December and January.
