The organizers of this year’s Oktoberfest in Chippewa Falls are donating thousands of dollars to area charities this week. The Leader-Telegram says more than 35 community groups will be presented with contributions Tuesday for donating time at the festival.
About 20-thousand dollars is expected to be donated at the ceremony. Organizers say Oktoberfest has managed to donate over 345-thousand dollars to local charities since it started 16 years ago.
