A new bill designed to update the state’s unemployment processing has been signed by the governor.
Governor Tony Evers signed the bipartisan bill today which was passed unanimously by the Assembly earlier this week and by the Senate last week. The cost of the upgrades could range up to 100-million-dollars, but no funding is provided by the bill signed today. It’s now up to the Department of Workforce Development to find a company to overhaul the system.
