Wisconsin is going to need a shipment of coronavirus vaccine if the state wants to keep pace in getting people the shot.
The state’s Department of Health Services yesterday said they’ve received under five-thousand doses so far this week. Wisconsin has been averaging about 200-thousand-doses per-week since the end of January. DHS Deputy Secretary Julie Willems Van Dijk says Wisconsin has gotten only about a quarter of the vaccine doses it needs to make sure everyone who is eligible for a shot can get one. When it comes to the overall picture, Wisconsin’s coronavirus count continues to be full of good news.
The state’s Department of Health Services yesterday reported no new coronavirus deaths. It is the second day in a row with no new deaths. Hospitalizations in Wisconsin also continue to be down as well. DHS yesterday reported 348 people in the hospital with the virus, and just 95 of them are in the ICU.
