A-G Josh Kaul yesterday joined 15 other states in calling for Congress to forgive up to 50-thousand-dollars in student loans for anyone who borrowed money through a federally backed loan program. Kaul says the skyrocketing cost of college has left too many people with debt they cannot pay.
Attorneys general from Massachusetts, New York, Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, Oregon, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, and the District of Columbia are all making the same request.
