It will be a triumphant return to school for the Chippewa Falls girls hockey team.
The ladies won the WIAA state hockey championship on Saturday, 3-2, on an overtime goal from Joey Schmenauer. The team includes players from Chippewa Falls, McDonell Catholic, and Menomonie schools. This is Chippewa Falls’ first state title in girls hockey.
