As funerals for the victims are being held this week, the 21 year old man who was huffing before he swerved off the road and ran down a group of Girl Scouts picking up trash is facing charges.
Colten Treu is facing four counts of homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle and four counts of hit-and-run involving death among other charges. He initially fled the scene, but later surrendered to police and admitted to hitting three Girl Scouts and a mother while they were picking up trash off of Highway P Saturday morning.
Treu has also admitted that he was huffing keyboard cleaning chemicals at the time of the accident.
