Wisconsin lawmakers are about to take the first step to override Governor Tony Evers’ emergency coronavirus rules.
The state Senate is set to vote tomorrow on a resolution that would overturn the governor’s latest emergency order and mask requirement. The state constitution gives lawmakers the power to overrule the governor with a simple resolution. It’s not clear when, or even if, the State Assembly will follow and override the governor as well.
