Four local healthcare heroes will head to the Super Bowl if Green Bay wins the NFC Championship game.
The Packers host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the conference championship game on Sunday. If the Packers beat Tom Brady and the Buccaneers, they will advance to play the AFC championship winner in the Super Bowl in Tampa.
The four Healthcare Heroes selected from Bellin Health to attend the Super Bowl are Doctor Michael Landrum, nurses Jesse Schaumburg and Jessica Landry and respiratory therapist Lucy Bellerud.
When the game does happen, the NFL will permit 22-thousand fans to see the Super Bowl in-person. NFL commissioner Roger Goodell says they will be giving tickets for free to 75-hundred vaccinated health care workers.
He says after working with the CDC and Florida Department of Health, they came up with a plan to “host fans in a safe and responsible way.” The Super Bowl is scheduled for February 7th in Tampa.
