Nearly one-in-three people in Wisconsin could become eligible for the coronavirus vaccine under the state’s next phase.
Wisconsin’s vaccine subcommittee yesterday agreed on an expansive list of people who could get the shot under Phase 1b. Teachers, prisoners, grocery store workers, anyone over 65, mink farmers, bus drivers, and more are all on the list. In all, Phase 1b could include one-point-six-million people in the state.
Dr. Jonathan Temte with the UW-Madison School of Medicine says with that many people in the next phase, it will take a long time to get everyone vaccinated.
