Governor Walker and Democrat Tony Evers are doubling down on new policy stances on health care and taxes. Walker said yesterday that Wisconsin will always cover people with pre-existing conditions, despite the state joining a federal lawsuit against the Affordable Care Act. Evers said yesterday that his position on taxes isn’t new, that he’s always been against raising property taxes and will reduce income taxes for the middle class.

Pence campaigned with Walker Saturday in Hudson, along with other state Republican leaders. The appearance was meant to encourage voter turnout, which could be crucial to Walker being re-elected.
