The latest coronavirus relief package at the Wisconsin Capitol is a smaller test balloon.
New Senate Majority Leader Devin LeMahieu yesterday said he is moving a smaller package through the Senate to see if Governor Evers will sign it. The focus of LeMahieu’s proposal are protections for businesses, schools, and non-profits from coronavirus lawsuits. LeMahieu says he doesn’t have a guarantee from the governor on his plan. Assembly Republicans passed their much larger coronavirus relief package last week.
